Accessible Transportation

On campuses that provide shuttle or bus services, accessible vans or buses must be available to students with disabilities.

Accessible vans or buses provide transport for students with medical or disability needs when their classes take place on more than one campus within a given institution or field trips are scheduled. Students should coordinate with the services for students with disabilities or transportation office for scheduling, and to ensure that buses and shuttles are accessible.



The student is responsible for collaborating with the faculty, services for students with disabilities office and with transportation services in order to schedule travel between campuses or to make arrangements for field trips.


Faculty are responsible for collaborating with the student and the services office regarding accessible transportation for field trips.


The college or university is responsible for providing accessible van and buses or for intercampus transportation when the campus has a shuttle or bus service and for field trips.

Motor Skill (Gross Lower) : Students who use wheelchairs, motorized scooters, or have gross lower mobility impairments may require special transportation arrangements to accommodate disability needs.
